This is gonna blow your minds: I'm British, but i don't hate Gwin! I've liked the bloke ever since watching 'Mojo Trail Diaries' when he was still on Yeti and not posting WC wins. He is awesome, and rode better than everybody else all season and to set a new record in the process was testament to that. However, Hart produced something truly special in the last race of the season. Neither of them will be forgotten for a long time, but this is Dannys time in the limelight. Yes Gwin could have challenged Danny for the win, but he made a mistake, so its completely irrelevant. Who are we to take the glory (sorry!) away from Danny for what is probably the best display of downhill racing in history... People outside our niche world of mountain biking won't understand Gwins achievement, however anyone watching the video of Hart smashing the field by close to 12s can recognise how spectacular it was. Hopefully then, more people will become aware of our sport and the level of skill involved, it certainly worked for MacAskill! There's no need to bring nationality into this, just be happy that two guys have made this season one to remember, next year should be incredible. Hopefully Brosnan will be up there too, that lad is pinned!

Danny Hart and Troy Brosnan have been the most exciting guys to watch this season in my opinion. Gwin was untouchable - obviously - but i'd love for one of these boys to get onto the top step for Worlds... Glad it rained though, will make for incredible action! Anyone know if there will be a free to view replay on freecaster after the live stream has finished?
